So you want to learn more about Haiti!
Hello, I am Ernst Louis, the president and founder of Divine Rhymes. I was born and raised in Haiti. I came to the United States when I was 23 years old. Having lived over half of my life in Haiti, I have seen the extreme hardship, suffering and poverty of my people.

The chaotic political climate in Haiti and the corruption of many of its leaders are largely to blame for its deplorable condition. I believe that God loves and cares about all the nations of the earth! That is the reason why I know there is hope for Haiti. “With God all things are possible!”

I thank God that He made a way for me to come and live in the United States. However, I have a strong desire in my heart to be one of the few who endeavor to bring relief and hope to the many people who are suffering in Haiti. And as God provides and permits, in other poor countries as well.

The Haitians are generally friendly, humble, and--despite their poverty--generous. While many people have decided to ignore Haiti’s plight, I remain hopeful that God will help change the situation for better.

Therefore, I urge you to pray for Haiti. Pray that the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ will shine through and dispel the overwhelming spiritual and philosophical darkness in Haiti. And pray for those who are working hard to make a difference there.

Thank you!

Sincerely, Ernst Louis
